For instance, perhaps you would enjoy visiting Conciergeries in Paris.
The Conciergeries is Pariss Prison, which is seated over the waters around Paris. This establishment has a fascinating history. It was the original Palace where Kings of France resided. The Kings relocated to the Palace Louvre. In the late 1300s however, the Palace where kings resided became Pariss first and only prison. The prison is situated on the Island Cit, which is near the Notre-Dame. This Cathedral structure is worth visiting also. You will also be close to the Sainte-Chapelle, which you may want to visit as well.

The prison during the French 1700s Revolution became popular. During and throughout the late 1700s and 27 centuries many men and women alike were put to death at this prison. The Conciergeries formerly Pariss prison is near the Ile de la Cit and is a segment of the Palais de Justice. The building today is used for Pariss judicial business, which at one time this building detained many prisoners who left the Concorde Squares and beheaded. Amongst these people beheaded was the famous Queen of France, Marie Antoinette. Austria King had a sister who was also beheaded at this legendary establishment.
Marie-Antoinette was born in 1755 and died in 1793. The young queen was the wife of the famous King Louis XVI. She was beheaded during the French Revolutionary period. Marie was the daughter of the famous Francis I emperor and daughter to Maria Theresa. This famous woman erupted the kingdom of Paris. During the 1700s she was unjustly criticized by the people who implicated she had taking a diamond necklace. This woman spent one year in Conciergeries where here she was beheaded.
At the Conciergeries, you will enjoy a water-surrounded environment where bridges carry you across Gothic architectures. You will enjoy outstanding halls that date back to the 14th centuries. The building is structured over the Seine River.

How do I know when this building is open to visitors?
Visitors can go here between 10 am and up to 5 pm during April and up to September.

Where is it located?

Paris is located on an island in Seine called Ile de la Cite. Lie de la Cite served as the headquarters for the Paris tribe during the 200 B.C., known as Lutetia.

The Roman Empire was attached with 2 wooden bridges crossing the river between the island to the river left and right. The bridges caught Julius Caesar attention, which he in turn brought it to the Romans attention. Julius Caesar explained how the Gallic War burned the bridges in the 52 B.C. and along with all the attractions in this town on the island in Seine called at this time Lutetia.

It took nearly a century to build Lutetia in a town. Only one thing, the island continued flooding so badly the water forced many of the people to move to the Left Bank of the river. More people were forced to move to safety, going to the surrounding hills when the Barbarians attacked in A.D. 200.

Over the next 50 years, the Christian communities moved in. During this time the city was blessed with its first bishop known as St. Denis around 250.

During the same time, that the Christian communities were moving in the Roman Empires political power started growing. The Roman Empire political powers started building up the cultural and religion became stronger. With the cultural and the religion growing it connected to the bishops making Rome stronger yet.

The Roman armies dropped in count during the 400s when the Germanic tribes took over the island. At this time a Frankish-Latin to form, a union and they started making the town grow. The first Frankish King grabbed up the Christianity as his tribes religion. The King then encouraged the Parisian to place names like Paris.

The Carolingians stepped in during the 800s and replaced the Merovingians. The Carolingians were than crowned having the supreme power and rank over Western Germany and Eastern France. Paris was never its capital. The City was known as the commercial and religious center in memory of St. Genevieve. St. Genevieve protected Paris when attacked by the Huns in the final days of the Roman Empire.

Paris became known to rule the power at the end of 987 when the empire split. The split was because of the large growth and became the modern France and the modern Germany.

The saying There is never any ending to Paris, and the memory of each person who has lived in it differs from that of any other. Your personal discovery is the most compelling reason to visit Paris.

Today Paris is so compact with 2.5 million in population that it has been divided into 20 sections. Each section has its own mayor, city hall, police station along with their own post office.

The river that runs through Paris is the Seine River. The Right Bank is on the north and the left bank streaming south. There are 32 bridges crossing the river with two small islands at the end of some of them. Ihe island of Ile de la Cite is the cities birthplace and the home of Notre-Dame. Ile St-Louis island is the second island and it is the home of many 17th century mansions. The bridges will give walkers access to these islands and at the end makes things look like a maze with narrow streets and old buildings.

Visiting Paris can be very educational. Youll discover many old and new things on your vacation. In addition, Paris has a wide selection of fabulous dinners where you will enjoy a tasty meal after visiting many areas around the beautiful streets of Paris.

Some people feel that visiting Les-Catacombs in Paris is a waste of time. Yet, the Opinionists fail to realize that historical buffs see things in a new light. At Les-Catacombs, you will pay an entry fee of five French dollars.

Areas around Paris, during the late 1800s discouraged the average person, since its history of overpopulated cemeteries and deceased souls made the area, one of Pariss uncivilized environments. The area was filled with filth. For this reason the councils of the Parisians transferred the deceased to the tunnels of Les-Catacombs. In this, tunnel the bones of millions of dead souls rest. Parisian counsels of France transferred the bones, piling them in various areas around the tunnel. The skull of these dead people are piled in areas of the tunnel, and put together in reverse/front fashion. The bones are disturbing to many, since these dead peoples structures were fashioned in a way that it appears as faces and transverse structures, i.e. in the shape of crosses.

Throughout the tunnels are spiral stairways. Once you begin walking down the stairs, you will spot eye sockets of the deceased. The tunnels become present as you continue down the stairs. As you continue down the stairs and into the dirt tunnels, you are approaching the graves of many deceased souls, which at this point you cannot turn back. Since underground tunnels and graves are chilling you, want to make sure that you wear proper attire to keep you warm. Keep in mind you will get residue of the deceased on you. If this bothers you, perhaps you can wear attire that shields your clothes and flesh.

Throughout the walk, you will notice the walls. The walls are filled with plagues, yet observers say that the information is written in French. This makes sense, since the tunnels were designed in the 1800s. In view of the fact, you may want to learn a bit of French before visiting the tunnel. Ultimately, if you have a French interpreting, or friend who speaks French, take him/her with you.

NOTE: Because people have stolen bones from the tunnels, as you return to the starting point, the staff will inspect your bags.

How to decide if Les-Catacombs is right for you or your children:
Les-Catacombs is not intended for people who fear closed areas, underground arenas, etc. If you have claustrophobia, perhaps you would enjoy visiting other attractions in Paris instead. Children into history, or intending to prepare a future in science, etc, may enjoy this experience, however most will feel threatened by the environment. Take care to consider your childrens likes, explain first to them what they will visit, and ask the children if this is something they want to see.

The experience for children could be a learning experience that opens their eyes to the reality of death and graves. If your children cannot handle this however, or have emotional reactions easily, visit other attractions in Paris.

Where is Les-Catacombs located in France?
Les-Catacombs is at the first Place, Denfert-Rochereau. The tunnels are open Tuesday through Friday between 2pm and 4pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the tunnel is open from 2 pm to 4 pm also.

Get to know some of the requirements when visiting Paris before leaving. It will make your trip a lot more enjoyable and fun.

Paris is open 24 hours a day to meet your needs. You just have to find the right spots for you. Make your days and nights complete with enjoyment; remember anything is possible. Even late night services at one of the many churches is available with transportation to deliver you at the destination.

Living a Parisian life is a busy life so dont be surprised when they seem to always be in a hurry. Everyone is always ready for a fun time and they enjoy meeting new people. Just remember to be charming and always speak their favorite words hello, please, and thank you. Try to learn these three words in French and they will be even happier to help you. The people you will meet are always ready to welcome you and ready to help make your time with them and enjoyable one. Dont be surprised when you see people greeting each other with 4 kisses on the check? Kissing on the check is their way of welcoming you but they will take a firm handshake as well.

Parisians have no road safety so be careful when crossing the street. When they are walking across the street themselves, they will dash out in front of an oncoming vehicle at the last minute without looking. Always be on your toes walking or riding.

The streets in Paris are lined up with open markets and flea markets. The open markets are usually open 3 days a week in the morning. Youll find the renowned flea markets are open on Saturday, Sunday, and on Mondays.

Paris is known for its luxury products and the prices are high to match. Most prices are on display so you dont get shocked when you go to pay for them. Everyone likes to start their day off with a cup of hot coffee; the big shocker is the price of coffee is higher when sitting at a table than it is if you stand at the bar so standing up in the morning is cheaper.

Exchanging your money for their currency, which is, called euros isnt too hard to do. There are many banks along the way only some dont make exchanges. You will also find many exchange offices along your journey where they specialize in exchanging currency. Dont forget your ID that is required. Credits Cards are taken for exchanging money as well. There are many automatic cash points (ATM machines) to take your credit card. There is always a charge so be sure to ask how much it cost because they vary in cost. The lower the amount the higher the cost to make your transaction. Checking with your bank before leaving home is a good idea because some will charge you to use your credit card.

There are no vaccinations required when going into Paris. If you take, your pet be sure to have the health certificates to prove they have all their shots. Check with the authorities to make sure your breed is allowed because they have limitations on the different breeds.

Paris is well known for its health and wellness. You will notice that most of the hotels have many things to offer you in the life of fitness, massages, and spas. Most hotels can fill your needs in whatever matter you want for your health fitness.

Now, it is a nice time to visit Paris. If you are looking for the ideal gift for your loved ones, such as the children or your mate, Paris is where it is happening.

In order to be a good tour guide in Paris, you may have to go to school to learn about Paris. You will have to be able to talk to people in large crowds, and naturally be friendly to all kinds of people. You will have to know all about the history sites as well as the other things like the hottest shopping spots. Best hotel, best eating spots and so on is something you must learn as well. It would be a challenge but again it could be fun to become a tour guide yourself.

What should I know?
The knowledge of the Great Louver Museum as well as information that surrounds its purpose is a start. The Museum is one of Pariss finest art Museums. The masonry museum establishments house a variety of exhibits, which include the Hogarth and the Rembrandt paintings. Your visitors will see up close the famous Scribes of the Seated. In addition, the tourists will discover Thematic Paths where they will learn about the masterpieces of various arts.

Throughout the tour, visitors will enjoy a wide array of activities. The museum walks the visitors through a wide array of cultures with educational backgrounds. Inside the museum, the tourists will enjoy workshops, trails, classes, and more.

Taking tours through Paris will inspire you to visit the Eiffel Tower. The tower was structured in 1790 and was completed in quickly. The museum is one of Pariss largest structures built. To start the museum was made of tin foil. The tin foils have more than 3 million names inscribed on its texture. The names help the staff to keep up with faults of the structures. Becoming a tour guide in Paris, leads you to learn all you can about each attraction, diners, hotels, and more.

Since the museums site in the largest tour areas around, you will need to learn about different stores in the region. You will also need to learn the best dining areas, cool shops, and romantic settings. What are the hot spots for couples is another area you want to consider. Paris has a selection of couple-oriented activities, which include the horse and carriage ride down through town. Riding the buggy at dust to dark is ideal for enjoying romantic evenings. The town is lit up, so the couple will feel inspired at the wide array of structures throughout the city. In addition, Paris offers couples the chance to walk over the bridges while viewing the sunset. Throughout Paris, the couples may enjoy sitting near one of the finest water fountains in Paris.

How do I learn more about attractions, dining, hotels and more in Paris?
You would more than likely have to go to school if you intend to train as a tour guide. It depends however on the company that hires you. You will find helpful information online that leads you to Pariss finest attractions, diners, hotels, and more. Your local library may offer you materials that help you learn about Paris as well.

How do I decide when Ive learnt enough?
As long as you are a fast learner and nice to the tourist you will do fine. You must love your job also to be able to work with people.

If you are heading to Paris with friends, family, and desire to guide the tour, then learns information to help you keep the audiences interest. When guiding family and friends, you want to keep their likes and interest in mind. One of the worst things about guiding tourists in Paris (If you dont live there) is that you can be caught up, since the city has an outstanding surrounding that attracts the eye. In this instance, you might take your tour to areas you like, rather than areas they may enjoy.

Perhaps you would prefer a hotel on Pariss beautiful riverbanks. This is something you have to decide.

What about dining?
Choosing Foods:
On the other hand, you may be ready for a nice dinner. You may want to visit the Aubacou. The French food is tasty according to people who have visited; as well, the restaurant offers you a nice sitting place to enjoy a meal.

You can check all this out with your local travel agent or you could go on the Internet to choose your schedule.

The next steps to Paris travel:
The next step would be to make sure things are going to be taken care of while you are away from home. Did you put your mail on hold at your local post office until you return, or did you take a copy of your numbers off your travel check in case you lose them? Dont forget to give another set of keys to someone that you can trust so that if needed, they can get in for you. In addition, take a list of important numbers with you in case you need to phone home.

How to pack for Paris travel?
You want to pack your clothes for starters. Since you are going to visit one of the most beautiful countries in the world, pack your camera and film.
